SS and RDC are the signs you will find in a lift.
Pay attention to the word "étage", as the first floor is the "rez-de-chaussée", if we say that "ma maison a 2 étages", we mean that your house gets 3 floors.
In the drawing above, the building gets "6 étages".
HLM means "habitation à loyer modéré" (le loyer is the rental), so the word is feminine.
People in France don't make the connection between "boîtes" and "aux" and say something like "boitolettres".
