As you can see, there are many ways to say a date in French, to translate today it is:
-nous sommes or c'est
To translate yesterday it was:
-nous étions or c'était (allways the imperfect tense)
To translate tomorrow it will be:
- Nous serons or ça sera or the present tense, nous sommes or c'est.

You also noticed that there is no capital letter for days or months in French
